Capitalise your titles in a consistent way

When clients send us their website copy or their product list, very often the information is all perfect but the formatting is… not so optimal for a website. Think “Some products are named like this”, “Some Are Named Like This” and “SOME LIKE THIS”. This usually ends up looking messy and not as professional. We’ll go over everything and make sure it’s all looking perfect for you and your clients.

Make your images lighter (and website faster!)

When a website loads very slowly, images tend to be the culprit. See, with our phones taking greater and greater pictures, they also get heavier and heavier. And when we take a full photo and upload it to a website… that’s a LOT of data to load. Slow websites lead to people clicking away without waiting (We’re not the most patient bunch are we?). Before uploading anything to your website we’ll make sure everything is optimised to be as light and fast as possible.

Edit stock images to make them fit your brand

There comes a moment in almost every business’ life when they won’t be able to take the perfect image they need for a campaign. That’s why we have things like stock photography which is great to complement your existing brand images. Sometimes they don’t quite fit in with the rest though. Editing those images to fit your brand is one of our little secrets we do here at Laure to give you the best results possible.

Sometimes when you forward to us product images that your distributor or manufacturer sent you, we wonder what they were thinking. Very often the images are TINY and way too blurry/pixelated to be able to use them on your shiny new website. In those cases, we make it our mission to source better versions one way or another.

Reframe your product images coherently

One thing we see over and over that comes up in audits as well? Product images that are either different proportions altogether or have some products surrounded in white space while others are cropped super close to the edge. Nothing here is wrong but mixing and matching them is. Keeping your product images as consistent as possible is extremely important to have a coherent and efficient website. The goal is for your users to focus on the products themselves and not be distracted by all the different formats and lighting.
